The Gresley Arms is a charming 17th Century Coaching Inn with a rustic appeal, where you may still spot the occasional horse and cart tied to our fence posts. We boast a wide selection of cask ales, craft beers, and a delightful new menu. Following a tasteful renovation carried out during lockdown, our inn now offers a serene country pub experience nestled between two picturesque country parks on Alsagers Bank. Enjoy stunning panoramic views spanning 9 counties from our beer garden and dining area. Weather permitting, guests can also indulge in alfresco dining. Cyclists, walkers, and dogs are all welcome to relax and rejuvenate with our offerings after a long day exploring. Periodically, outdoor live music performances are hosted on-site, subject to weather conditions. Safety is paramount to us, with strict social distancing measures in place throughout the premises. To ensure the well-being of all patrons, our staff will kindly remind guests to adhere to our guidelines at all times. Rest assured, we have limited bar occupancy to a maximum of 2 individuals per group, with a distance of 2 meters between each group.
Nestled in a picturesque setting, The Gresley Arms offers a vibrant atmosphere complemented by stunning views and friendly, attentive service. While many patrons rave about the generous portions and delectable dishes, including a noteworthy Sunday roast, others express disappointment over certain menu items’ quality and value. Reports of inconsistent food preparation, such as tough pastries and meager portions, have surfaced, leading some diners to question their return. Despite some grievances, the pub maintains a loyal following for its warmth and delicious offerings, making it a classic spot worth visiting for a variety of dining experiences.
