We opted for the menu del dia which we were able to avail of at 9.30pm. At €12 per person it was exceptional value and the food was of a very high standard. The octupus salad was the best I've ever had. Fried fish for main was cooked to perfection as was the seabream. Each main dish was served with homemade chips and a side salad. Sadly, we never got to the food. We arrived at opening time, 8pm, and a waiter had just started preparing the tables. He said they were not ready. We said no problem, we`ll sit and have a glass of wine while we wait. The waiter brought the wine and then launched into a bizarre tirade about the English why do you English always arrive so early?
