We had a delightful Mother's Day meal at this restaurant. The ambiance is charming and in an old style, which is a unique find for a downtown ice cream shop. We decided to try The Palest based on reviews and my European background at 6 o'clock and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, the service was very slow and our server was not very competent. The food was just average and the portions were small. We ordered the chicken cordon bleu and the Serbian goulash.
