Telephoned West Hill branch and asked to order, was told it was quiet so I could just pop along, I wanted 2 large cod so usually you need to wait, but on arrival the fish was cooked and ready.Once home and inboxes the smell was divine! Chips were chunky cut and crispy and hot! The fish was in such a light batter and huge! I could not eat all of mine it beat me! Fair play to these continuing to trade during COVID-19.... Sadly, we had to return two lots of fish and chips due to the shocking pieces of fish we were served. Grey, undercooked and just a mush of yellow non crispy batter. Bitterly disappointed. There was an offer of a replacement but we decided to have a refund. Sad to say but this chippie has lost it's way recently and what used to be the go to fish and chip shop has now lost more custom.
