The sauce is typically the essential component in Italian cookery, and it needs the proper ingredients so it will taste good. This restaurant does not have a good sauce. It was very salty with no counterbalance of sweetness at all. Either sumptuous tomatoes or a scant amount of sugar will elevate any sauce to another level. This was not the case here.
