'Domodachi ' has the misfortune of competing with the legacy of 'Nizi Sushi ' having once occupied the same space and a large percentage of Rutherford residents being loyal to either Nizi or 'Yellowtail Japanese Bistro ', but I can assure you, Domodachi is better than both of these places.Domodachi doesn 't have the over-the-top, trendy, borderline not even sushi that Yellow tail has.. Domodachi is much more traditional, but the flavors are better than Nizi and the fish quality is better than both Nizi and Yellowtail.

I don't know how this place is getting good reviews, deserves 0 stars. The edamame tasted fishy, the salmon sushi was not fresh fish and had hard rice, the rice on the rolls falls off in chunks when you pick up any piece, the specialty roll was really fishy. Horrible food. View all feedback.
