The hamburgers at this bar are excellent. They have about 6 types to choose from, from classic to double. The food is freshly prepared and served with classic fries or sweet potatoes. There are also many kinds of beers and alcoholic beverages to choose from. Food is ordered at the bar, you need to take a number. Food preparation takes about 15 minutes. the service at the bar is very nice. I highly recommend it. View all feedback.

What Debbie Hoffman doesn't like about The Balboa:
Nice dive bar, bartenders were awesome, drinks are ? and reasonably priced. I had the garlic fries which were awesome, and the signature hamburger which was good but honestly not the best hamburger I've ever had. It's not in a great area, but probably worth the trip just to see if this is, indeed, the best hamburger in San Diego. View all feedback.
