5 star for sure but the Calamari dish was horrible. The flour based batter tasted only like flour. The Calamari was chewy. Other than that Shanghai Saloon always delivers with food, efficiency and ambiance. The mood.was rushed when we got there but it was definitely controlled chaos. There is never a long wait. Had several dishes and was excited for the Xiao Long Bao but overall left pretty disappointed. We ordered two orders and ended up sending one back because they were borderline soggy/doughy and all of the soup had leaked out. Regardless, the flavor in the second order (which were mostly okay) just wasn’t there and the amount of soup inside was disappointing. The staff was nice and they took the one order back, but I w... The dumplings are the best. I tried other dishes but they were too oily! I also liked their bee...
Really enjoyed the dinner here. We had a group of 4 and shared a few dumpling dishes to start....
