What Don Hall likes about Rain Tree Cafe:
All-American dinner experience. Very friendly staff. Quick service. Deep menu. Food is well prepared but not fancy. They do need better coffee options, though. UPDATE: They now have espresso drinks. Our cappuccinos this morning tasted a 3.5OK, but not great although they definitely hit the spot. We'll continue to go back each year we visit San Francisco. View all feedback.

Very mid overall. Old school diner vibes, friendly staff. But $21 before tip for French toast, 2 eggs, and bacon with coffee seems a bit high for this quality and style of food. View all feedback.
