In a place like this the people make all the difference. The bartender was funny, friendly, and professional. I found out the place has history, but the new layout and setup is open and inviting. Good place to go when meeting a friend, and you don 't feel like going all the way to Scituate harbor (which can be off the beaten track when you don 't live in Scituate). Has a classic townie, regular pub food. quiet enough to have a conversation, but noisy enough to make you feel like you are out. Always had nice, pleasant servers.
