We are an independent cafe with a craft bakery that also offers guest rooms. Established in 1975, we are a family-run business located in the heart of Ambleside. Good food and coffees etc in this busy cafe next to the Ambleside ‘house on the bridge’. Busy normally have to Q for a table but worth it. Have to order at a counter rather than via a waiter but goods delivered to table OK. Don’t just serve apple pie View all feedback.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff who were working on Sunday 29th October 23. Unfortunately while I was at the counter my younger daughter became unwell and fainted. The hardworking staff could not have reacted quicker. They were wonderful. My daughter was soon ok again after being given a flapjack and water by the staff.
