The Reef, originally known as Comptons, was established by the Usina family on a stunning piece of oceanfront property in the serene North Beach area, just three miles north of the Usina Bridge. Having been in the family for generations, the restaurant first opened its doors in 1989 and had a successful decade before closing in 1999 due to reasons beyond their control. However, in 2002, The Reef made a comeback under the direct ownership of the Usina family, offering some of the most breathtaking views in Northeast Florida. Whether you choose to dine inside with a dynamic view or opt for the newly renovated deck that overlooks the Ocean, you are guaranteed a memorable experience. Chef Greg Cooper has curated a menu that showcases a variety of fresh and locally sourced seafood, fish, beef, poultry, pasta, and creative specials to complement the stunning vistas.
The average rating of 4.5 shows that the place is one of the top spots of all its visitors.

What User doesn't like about The Reef Of St. Augustine:
Walked in and hostess was very nice but a manager immediately raced into kitchen and had a temper tantrum and threw plates down causing a scene. We read a review that meat was tough but took a chance and sure enough prime rib was tough and scallops under cooked. Extremely noisy and even though waitress and hostess did their best, this is not a place I’d return. View all feedback.
