The Royal Hop Pole is a well-known historic landmark featuring buildings dating back to the 15th and 18th centuries. Formerly known as The Crown during King Henry VIII's reign, it was officially named The Royal Hop Pole after Queen Mary stayed there in 1937. Charles Dickens even referenced the inn in his first novel, The Pickwick Papers. The hotel boasts a beautiful garden leading to the banks of The River, offering picturesque views of the countryside and the Malverns. Due to the historic nature of the building, please be aware that all bedrooms are located up at least one flight of stairs as we do not have a lift.
What User likes about The Royal Hop Pole:
last stay here in september 2015. I had a selection of rooms from the beautiful and helpful shannon and chose the dachboden, 301 the room was quite cold and got the opportunity to float. What sa11y2017 doesn't like about The Royal Hop Pole:
I was not asked about the food quality during my visit. Usually, I have had amazing food at this restaurant. However, my Katsu curry did not taste like katsu; it resembled a typical chip shop curry. This has happened twice now. My first visit was excellent, but it seems they may have run out of the correct ingredients. I would prefer to be informed so I can choose an alternative dish.
