Mars Diner is a classic spot in the city that has been providing a simple, yet satisfying diner experience for years. The flagship location on College west near Bathurst has seen some improvements, with a cleaner environment and new seating arrangements. The food, including items like roast beef sandwiches, Huevos Benedictos, and breakfast options, is generally good but not outstanding. The service can be hit or miss, with some customers facing slow service and forgotten drink refills. The atmosphere is described as greasy and dark, but the staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall, Mars Diner is a solid choice for a classic diner experience, especially for locals and tourists looking for a reliable spot for all-day breakfast or dinner.
Based on the average review of 4, the Mars Uptown Diner is definitely worth a visit.
What Howell Crooks likes about Mars Uptown Diner:

What Branson Beahan doesn't like about Mars Uptown Diner:
Stopped for a coffee and a bran muffin. Is my memory defective or were/are the muffins better in the Mars on College near Bathurst? Never mind: the one I had was tasty. The coffee was okay. The ambiance is agreeable, with 1950s music played in a diner setting. One comment: the original "Green Door" sung by Jim Lowe sounds a lot better than the cover by Shakin' Stevens, which should be deep-sixed. View all feedback.
