This is my second day in Vence. There are hundreds of competitors for my few shekels but this spot on the Place du Grand Jardin is a gem. Parking close by, excellent coffee and one just one chocolate per visit! This morning we joined a queue in the vegetable market across the street and were soon being advised on the merits of the four different aubergines on offer and the popularity of Irish music. We stopped here for a fizzy water with syrup. Lovely setting and a nice place to watch the world go by. A bottle of Perrier water was expensive at €3.98 plus 50c for a dash of syrup. We were given a marshmallow on the rim of the glass. Not sure what this was about, didn't need it. Not a hope in getting a piece of chocolate though. View all feedback.
