It is about a 3 kilometer walk from Weimar out to Tiefurt, and well worth it even on a drizzly day. The Schloss and gardens at Tiefurt are beautiful and wonderful to visit. While you are there it is also worth visiting this restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful and have enough English for non-German visitors. Cake was exremely dry and when we went to pay the owner told us that payments with card under 15 eur were not allowed. We had no cash with us and had consumed for ‘only’ 10 euro. She said that ‘this was how it worked there. We were charged 15 eur in total meanwhile we only consumed 10. If someone hat told us in advance or this was visibly displayed, then I could understand but it was unfortunately not the case View all feedback.
