Visiting this family-friendly pub, the traditional setting was cozy but neglected. The average grub was overpriced, with disappointing desserts. Father's Day saw a cold, burnt carvery and dirty kitchen. Seating was chaotic, service slow, and meals hit-or-miss. A gluten-free menu was lacking despite friendly staff. Sunday roast is a hit, serving ample portions. Skittles night was a success, thanks to stand-in hosts. Overall, expect basic, hearty fare at this hard-working family-run establishment. Good for a casual meal, with a classic pint, but don't expect fine dining. A charming pub with room for improvement.

Despite this, it is a charming pub with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious, especially for those of us who can eat... View all feedback.

There were no vegetables served. I regret not sending it back when it arrived, as I assumed it could... View all feedback.
