"I think we must be the last to know about this busy family run Gasthof. It was packed out with contented looking Sunday Lunchers. Their clean plated said it all. Lovely relaxed atmosphere as people finished their snapps and coffees as we arrived for early ‘Cake and coffee’ . Obviously loved my all generations, classic through and through with friendly if overrun waiting staff only too willing to please. It was obvious from the atmosphere that many where regulars. Apple cake with(as always) whipped cream and perfect coffee suited us and they where only happy to oblige. Special Christmas menus where on show and a lovely Christmassy table setting added to the atmosphere. We will be back for a meal next visit."

"Am 05.02.2017 war ich nach langer Zeit mal wieder mit meinem Vater gemeinsam im Landgasthof Stahmer. Vor einigen Jahren wurde das alteingesessene Restaurant von einem neuen Betreiber übernommen. Danach waren wir (meine Frau, mein Vater und ich) dann einmal dort und waren von der Küche - die wir bis dahin als hervorragend wahrgenommen haben - so enttäuscht, dass wir es bis zum letzten Sonntag vermieden haben, dort noch einmal essen zu gehen.Aufgrund unserer hohen Zufriedenheit mit dem Gasthof vor der Übernahme entschlossen wir uns, es doch noch einmal zu versuchen. Manchmal muss man sich ja auch erst eingewöhnen.Um 12:15 Uhr trafen wir im Gasthof ein und bekamen umgehend noch einen der letzten freien Tische im großen Saal zugewiesen. Das sahen wir als utes Zeichen an, denn ein voller Gasthof kann ja so schlecht nicht sein.Leider ging ab dann das Warten los. Ja, es war recht voll, aber die Sericekräfte standen oftmals an der Theke und sahen dem Mann dahinter minutenlang zu, wie der die Gläser füllte. Dabei wurde sich nett miteinander unterhalten, aber kein Blick in den Saal geworfen. Eine dieser Servicekräfte war die, die uns den Tisch zugewiesen hat. Nach ca. 10 Minuten (es können auch mehr gewesen sein) kam sie dann doch endlich zu uns und brachte uns die Karten.Wir waren uns schnell einig, was wir essen wollten: einmal die Entenkeule und einmal den Grünkohl.Die Bestellung wurde erstaunlich schnell aufgenommen, danach aber ging das Warten leider weiter. Erst um ca. 13:15Uhr wurde das Essen endlich serviert. Zwischendurch gab es keine Entschldigung oder auch nur einen Hinweis, wo es denn bleiben würde.Nach einer Stunde Wartezeit waren wir entsprechend hungrig und haben uns sehr auf das Essen gefreut, besonders ich mich auf den Grünkohl. Dazu muss man wissen, dass es im Gasthof Stahmer - zumindest bis zur Übernahme - immer einen legendären Grünkohl mit phantastischen Bratkartoffeln zu einem mehr als fairen Preis gab (11,50€ für Grünkohl und Bratkartoffeln satt mit Bauchfleisch, Kassler und Kochwurst).Leider ist davon nichts mehr geblieben: der Grünkohl sah aus und schmeckte, als ob er direkt aus der Dose oder dem Glas in einen Topf geschüttet und dort warmgemacht worden wäre - ohne jegliche Verfeinerung. Und die Bratkartoffeln waren sehr dick und sehr fettig und hatten nichts mit mir bekannten Bratkartoffeln gemeinsam. Einzig die Wurst und der Kassler waren sehr gut. Der Grünkohl sagte mir sogar so wenig zu, dass ich ihn nicht einmal aufessen mochte. Bei mir will das schon etwas heißen.Die Entenkeule war zart, sagte meinem Vater geschacklich jedoch auch gar nicht zu, ebensowenig die dicken, fettigen Kartoffelteile (die Bratkartoffeln).Wenigstens war der Preis war noch einigermaßen in Ordnung, wenn auch für einen Landgasthof in der abgeschiedenen Lage recht hoch.Auch eine Vierergruppe an unserem Nachbartisch äußerte sich enttäuscht über das Essen, zwei der vier Personen hatten Grünkohl.Für uns war das definitiv der letzte Versuch und wir werden dem Landgsthof Stahmer den Rücken zukehren.Das stimmt uns sehr traurig, denn früher war es dort immer sehr, sehr lecker, der Service war hervorragend und im Sommer konnte man toll draußen sitzen und die Sonne genießen.Die Aussage auf der Website des Gasthohes, dass in der "einzigartigen Küche" Jan Löwel selbst den Ton angibt, weiß ich jetzt auch richtig zu deuten.Am schönen Ambiente hat sich zum Glück nichts geändert, es gibt in den kleinen Gasträumen immer noch die kleinen, gemütlichen Sofas."
