"We enjoyed a lovely dinner here. The menu offered a lot of selection and it was hard to choose what to order! We were very happy with our meal, and the combination of tastes was fantastic and beautifully presented. Our waiter Tony took excellent care...of us and made us feel very welcome. The wine list offered something for every budget and palate."

"We visited the restaurant in August and we were very disappointed with the food but in particular the customer service. At first they said they would not serve anymore food to the outside tables (at only 1pm), then when we questioned this after seeing another table seated, they became very rude. It was quite unbelievable. Added to that, the poor quality of food.. we won't be returning."

"We came across this wonderful eating experience inadvertently while seeking advice at a local food store on where to go for dinner? The store proprietor confidently told me I have the best table in Meursault ! but you can 't eat here tonight if you want to eat here you must book! It transpired that he only cooked on a Tuesday Friday (choosing what he would cook/serve that night from the best food available at the Market . We booked for the next night and were told we must arrive at 8pm. It was a beautiful warm night. Just we 3 and another table of 8. We all chose to eat in the private courtyard beside the dining room /kitchen. For the entree we selected from a generous array of delectable plates of cured meats, anchovies, sardines, salads, cheeses fabulous eggs with a superb mayonnaise fish roe. Then a series of individual plates were served..I particularly remember a plump pan fried scallop on a medallion of potato and spinach and the chicken casoulet. Desert was a perfectly cooked banana and home made vanilla ice cream. The local wine was wonderful (a chablis 35 Euro after the entree we decided the meal deserved a better wine chose a local pinot 65 . We felt like dinner guests at Valerie 's home as he prepared the food, served it, sat for a while with the 'locals ' at the next table (enjoying our experience of his cooking before returning to the kitchen. During the first course we decided that I must have misunderstood the menu price. A lovely location, wonderful food wine and the cost? 15 Euro each plus wine!!!"

"We found this place in the Relais Routiers which is a guide to truck drivers cafes and restaurants. The food served is very traditional style French food. The service is a fixed price menu which includes bread and wine and seriously it is a feast...to say the least. When you go into the restaurant you pay before you eat. Then you sit at a table and bread and water is served there is no written menu. First there is entrée which is a self serve buffet with salads , pasta salads, egg dishes,cold meats, seafood fish and shellfish . The buffet is plentiful and of very good quality . You also help yourself to the wine house red and white. The mains are ordered from the table and our delightful waitress explained the choices there was a choice of 4 mains from memory. My wife was very adventurous and ordered the speciality of the region tete de veau which looks about as disgusting as it sounds . It was a bit ominous when our waitress say it was a very brave choice for a foreigner to order this, and she would let her choose another dish if she did not like it !!! She actually did enjoy it , with some reservations , as a once off experience. I ordered the beef kidneys , and they were sensational and very brown indeed . The cheese course and dessert were again from the buffet. Again a big selection and fresh and plentiful. The restaurant was full and it was obvious from the banter that there were lots of locals . This was a great experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant."
