"Hit the spot. Two of us went on Saturday noon. One of us had gammon, egg and new potatoes and the other had ham, egg and chips. The food was absolutely fine, no problems. We ate in the bar room, sat on a cozy sofa and watched football on the TV. The staff was nice, the place was clean and comfortable. We were on the way to a football match at the king power, drove along the A47, making it a perfect prelude stop."

"As a group of Womble litter pickers, we enjoy picking an area so that we can have lunch at the Cedars. The lunch time menu is such good value, with excellent choices also on their main menu. We are never short of choices of what to eat although we all have our favourite dishes. The food is really excellent quality. No matter how busy the pub is, we never have to wait long for our food. The staff are really welcoming, especially Carl on the bar and the waiting staff. Having lunch out at the Cedars makes a morning picking up other people’s litter more enjoyable."

"We had fond memories of Leeja Palace and it was always the go to restaurant for a special occasion. Fast forward many years and it feels similar..but different. The welcome and poppadoms were great. Sharing mixed platter at 13 quid was really lacking enough meat for two people. The mains were ok but easily finished all the meat. We all had Lamb and to be fair it was pretty good all round. £96 bill for a family of 4 seems expensive, especially when it's bring your own alcohol. Also was shocked to hear that the latest hygiene rating was 1 out of 5 It was OK but Tipu Sultan over the road is cheaper and much better quality food."

"Sunday Lunch. It was amazing value £20 for 3 courses. Lots of choice and good service. The ingredients were freshly cooked (including yorkshire pudding and vegetables). The portion sizes were generous. My only tip to the owners would be to reduce the portion sizes on the meat and improve the quality by making it locally sourced. We will be back."
