"In between visits with old friends to the Rheinfall and Stein am Rhein we stopped at Da Leone for lunch. What a superb choice this was the prix fixe lunch specials were an incredible value with salad, main course and dessert. The pizza selection...is also excellent, and all the portion sizes were terrific. Now let's be clear: when you go with Swiss who are over the age of 65 who have traveled the world you can expect they have exacting standards. They too were extremely impressed. We would all definitely return. Although we ate outside in the garden the interior is also beautiful and looks like the best you find in Bella Italia. Next time definitely want to try their vitello tonnato. Take a look at this elegant espresso service (photo)...sadly these days all too rare in Switzerland. This was a real treat, especially given how much very average overpriced espresso you find all over CH!"

"Über die Grösse der Cordon-Bleu wurde in diversen Bewertungen schon viel geschrieben und es wurde nicht übertrieben. Abgesehen davon sind die Dinger auch sehr gut. Die Weinempfehlung war vorbildlich, genau so wie der Service. Leider muss man dann fast auf den Dessert verzichten nach dieser Menge Cordon-Bleu ;-)"

"Gehen immer wieder da Essen. Ob Pizzas oder ein Nudelgericht. Bis jetzt hat es immer geschmeckt. Auch der Service und das ambiente stimmen. Der Preis für die Menus finde ich ebenfalls akzeptabel. Bleiben gute Kunden da."

"The owners: Ivett and Freddy are really more than welcoming you. I go once in a week to eat there with my friends from horse-riding. You always get great meat and fish. Ask Freddy what he would propose, there is always something new he just hunted or got. He is a hunter and really has a great heart in the preparation of his dishes. Cordon-Bleu in winter are a must. Wild meat dishes (tartar, cordon-bleu or in a sauce) are really his speciality. The price is honest and for the service you get, you could even pay more. Always smiling and always friendly, even when the restaurant is overbooked! It happens often."
