"Lovely little restaurant. I arrived about 10 mins early but they were already expecting me. I was greeted with a warm smile, and shown to my table, set so I can see the kitchen. Started with a lovely glass of Cava and opted for the 3 course lunch rather than the 4-6 course with wine pairing as I had to make it to my 2 pm appointment at Frans Hal Museum. Started with a pre-appetiser of a creme brulee. Interesting way to wake up the palette. Must say it worked perfectly. Went perfectly with the Cava. This was soon followed by a trio of amuse bouche, which were lovely Har bringer of what adventure is to come. The fresh smoked fish was theatrically revealed, and as the smoke diffused, it whetted my appetite by playing with my nasal sensation. As I chewed on the juicy morsel, it released that Smokey fragrance that combined powerfully with the Smokey smell that still lingered in my nose for an explosive, almost addictive sensation that left me wanting more. Next was a beet marshmallow, which was nothing I ever tasted. Light yet with such flavor. Finally, the golden egg. I was advised to use the spoon to dig in fully that I might get all the different layers with the “perfect” Egg. Now, I don’t usually like eggs, but this was indeed perfect. For mains, I was served Texel lamb. Attractively plated with different cuts of the perfectly cooked lamb, served with a lovely jus. Completely sated and on my way to a serious food coma by now, I pressed on with dessert. Before that, a lovely “juicy” tea to cleanse the palate. Interesting black tea cold brewed with sparkling water with a peach flavor. Refreshing! Suitably freshened up, a colorful plate of balls with cylinders packed with a pineapple sorbet was served. The little balls had different textures, with some bursting easily with fresh fruitiness. Amazing.... I almost declined coffee just so to have the taste linger a little longer in my mouth. A wonderful lunch made all the more pleasant with friendly staff who were highly attentive, and yet not intrusive. Almost perfect."
