"There are not many places to eat good snacks in Burhanpur main city. This is one of oldest and anytime to go restaurant. Though haven't tried any dish on recent visit (visited after many many years) due ongoing pandemic. Ambience is good and in normal days you find young crowds hanging at this place."

"Do takeout time to visit the market area around Jama masjid and you will come across sevral shops that offer local cuisine. Daraba is a rawa, ghee and sugar sweet typical to Burhanpur. You can try it at kundan sweets or milan sweets. Govind snacks shop near the back of jama masjid sells awesome aloo samosas and dal kachoris. Do try lassi from Pehlawan lassi wala. Burhanpur is also famous for rumali rotis. There are several shops one after the other that make these rotis right from early morning and these are supplied to hotels in the vicinity. Another famous item is jalebis. Go to Burhanpur Jalebi centre and try their koya jalebi. It tastes similar to a gulab jamun. If you visit darga-e-hakimi, do try the shops right outside it. You will get kebabs, onion samosas and a red couloured potato chaat."
