This was our first stop on a long motor trip out west. We needed fuel to keep going so stopped as we always do on long trips for a late cooked breakfast. We are always searching for good home cooking instead of fast food. We definitely found what we were looking for at the Bonnechere Cafe in Eganville. Very basic and low-key breakfast place. Good food, friendly staff, good value for money. Our omelette and eggs were overcooked. Fantastic homemade strawberry compote was great on toast! The restaurant is tired-looking, however. View all feedback.

We had breakfast here a few times when we were in town. The staff is limited and stretched. Eating is a little fat. Not as good as it is.
