"One local customer ordering in front of me, served quite quickly. When it came to my turn with four young girls and a male behind the counter ignored me and had to ask if anyone was serving. I ordered cod bites and chips and was told it would be about 10 minutes. Others came in who from the way they were talking to the fryers were locals. All were asked for their orders and were served promptly. Some had to wait a short time for what they had ordered to be cooked. I noticed one person who came in well after me ordered cod bites and was served straight away. I assumed my cod bites would be cooked in the same batch, but no. I asked if my order was ready but was told it was being cooked. A customer then told me they would have given my order to that other customer, a friend of one of them. I noticed after 25 minutes there were what appeared to be cod bites on the side. In the meantime other locals were being served or home delivery food being put together. Having now waited half an hour I asked about my order and although it had been cooked was told it would be ready in a minute. I was given a large helping of chips. But that was just the start. When I got home I cut one of the bites open and found no more than a slither of fish inside with the rest batter. Removing the fish contents of all four cod bites costing £6 came to just under 2ozs with the other 95% batter. Prior to the new management Marble Hall F&C had been my favourite chip shop, but it appears if you are not recognised as a 'local ' the service is terrible which is clearly down to poor training, and over staffing, and given cod bites that were really 'cod bits '. At one time the number one F&C shop in Milford it now comes nowhere the others In Milford."
