For those of you who have never been to Newfoundland, allow me to introduce you to Mary Brown's. Mary Brown's is to Newfoundland, what Starbucks is to Seattle. Seriously, there is a Mary Brown on almost every street corner in St John's, and sometimes a lineup out the door. Best chicken known to man, and their french fried taters are wonderful too. While in Twillingate we thought we would give Mary Brown's a try. What a mistake! It was the worst food we ever had. My husband ordered piece of fried chicken which were overdone, tasteless and dry. I ordered a chicken wrap which was nothing more than 3 small pieces of chicken tenders with some lettuce and a dried out wrap. The coleslaw was so finely chopped, it was almost like a thick soup.
