"Vor einem Veranstaltungsbesuch im MQ wollten wir noch indisch essen. Das Grätzl ist dazu ideal, weil es dort mehrere Indische Lokale gibt. Tandoor ist das nächste zum MQ. Aber ist es auch der beste Inder in Wien, wie ein Bewerter begeistert schreibt? Was auch sehr schwer wäre, weil viele Inder in Wien meiner Meinung nach auf hohem Niveau kochen. Spinatsuppe, Vorspeisenteller (empfehlenswert!), Chicken tikka masala, Samosas alles sehr gut, aber auch nicht besser als gegenüber. Butter Naan habe ich woanders schon besser gegessen.Schön ist, daß man sich die Schärfe beim Bestellen aussuchen kann, geht nicht bei allen Indern und ist oft zu extrem scharf.Wer gerne sehr kleine enge Lokale mag, ist im schlichten nicht ungemütlichen Gastraum gut aufgehoben. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich aber etwas langsam. Die Preise sind Mittelklasse.Im Sommer gibt es in der Seitengasse einen netten Schanigarten. In Summe gehört Tandoor sicher zu den besten Indern in Wien."

"Great Indian restaurant. the service was impeccable. instrumental old bollywood songs in the background make it a relaxing place. they welcome to papadams (so we could have it in the decision to order.) besides our drinks we were also cut cold still water, which I absolutely appreciate. mango leti, salted leti were pretty good. the food is great we ordered vegetarian plate served with mint tamarind chutney (onion bhaji is crispy spot on, paneer tikka is again spot on, samosa is tasteful, but can be crispy,) butterflies, simple nan slice wiper nan. along with eating they serve tangy mango pickle (which is absolutely authentic I love it) during ordering it would be a good idea to have the sharp sauce with papadam and to use it as a scala to decide the level of spiciness in curries. I strongly recommend this place."

"Had dinner at Indus twice last week...here are my thoughts:Service is SLOW. I mean unbelievably SLOW. So be prepared to wait for your food for a long, long time.Ambiance is nice...the restaurant is large and has a nice garden in the back.Food was good for Vienna but not good when compared to Indian food in London or NYC.-- Dal Tadka was excellent, definitely order this.-- Bhindi was good but full of grease.-- Roti was delicious.-- Naan received rave reviews but I didn't try so can't comment.-- Chana Masala is good, not the best but solid.-- Rice was rice...nothing special.-- Pakoras were REALLY greasy, I'd avoid these for sure.-- Papadum weren't flavorful so I'd avoid these too.Overall we ate at Indus twice (not my choice) and as I mentioned above, it was good for my "Vienna-standards" and is more like a 3.5 star place.I'm sure we'd return the next time we're in Vienna."
