"Best fish shop I have ever been to. Peter sources the best product and will not sell it if it's not up to his high standards. His fish and chips are also the best I've had. No one else goes to the same lengths to perfect the batter mix and individually seal any holes in the batter to achieve a perfectly sealed crust in which the fish is steamed, rather than fried by the oil. Every piece is then rolled in paper towel to minimise oiliness. Next level attention to detail at no extra cost. Make sure to buy before 6pm weekdays. He doesn't cook on weekends. His main business is locally sourced fresh fish and doesn't like to be called a fish and chip shop. If you appreciate his integrity, you will go out of your way to shop there."

"5 years ago I came here from the other side of Melbourne, Lakes Entrance, and found the city was quiet. It has developed a lot over five years. There are more shops, new infrastructure on the port for the wood industry and for tourism. We visited many more interesting places in the bridge water area, and the Cape Bridgewater mountain is worth walking, although we don't see many seals as expected."
