"Very nice small Mexican restaurant and I don’t think twice when I want to have mexican food. The food: no doubt one of the best authentic mexican food places in HRM and I can confidently say it is one of the best in the province and its surroundings. The served portion is very generous and filling (you dont want to stop eating because of the deliciousness of the enchiladas) Service and price: Anna, Wilson and the other woman are super nice and Very welcoming and you will feel the warmth the moment you step in to the restaurant. The price is reasonable compare to the portion served. The only thing is they open 2 days only for lunch. Dont forget to try the jarritos.. I definitely recommend it and I will go again."

"Had the most incredible experience here 4 weeks ago! The food was some of the best I've ever had in Halifax! The wine was amazing, and the service was fast, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had the House Cured Charcterie to start, I have the Duck Margret as my main, and my partner had the Beef Striploin as her main. For desert we finished off with the Terrine. It was all outstanding, one of the best meals top to bottom I have ever had. Cannot recommend Stories more!"

"I was so terribly disappointed with the two (2) egg option that I couldn't in good faith recommend this place especially since it's a few block's from a Tim Horton's. The presentation was poor, the eggs overcooked, and the potatoes dry and tasteless. I was...shocked to see the meager slices of fruit on the plate as they were extremely unappetizing specifically the pineapple had gone brown and the orange beyond recognition. As well, I found the service marginally acceptable. The coffee is not included and at over $3.00 it's pricey even for a cup of Starbuck's. And with so many other options for breakfast I'd pass on this one!"

"The service was incredible, kind, entertaining and helpful. The food was great overall, I found the pasta a touch salty but otherwise delicious. It’s an excellent place for a delicious Italian meal without having to fight for a seat by the boardwalk."

"Just ate the Chicken cranberry brie pie and was delicious !! Hubby had the steak and bacon and enjoyed it ver much. The blueberry pie didn’t make it home we ate in on the way !! Definitely will be back !!"

"First and foremost, this is a classy bar with amazing food. When judged as such, it excels in most everything. The cocktails are unique and interesting, the spirit list is among the best in the country, service is amiable, and the food is absolutely delectable. However, we specifically came because of it being selected as a top 15 restaurant in Canada. With this in mind, there were a few shortcomings hence the four star review. Our cutlery was never changed out, you're only slotted two hours (even if you're spending), there is no espresso machine, and they don't take Amex. These might be small things for most or even petty to others, but in my mind if you're trying to compete with the best in the country then every box needs to be checked. I'd certainly recommend Bar Kismet to friends and come back for sure, but I am making this review with the #12 selection in mind and for that, I cannot give five stars faithfully."
