"We have been hearing about the White Brick Kitchen for a while. It 's been on many must do brunch lists in Toronto for years. We finally got our family there ourselves and it was not a disappointment. In fact lived up to the hype and more. It is always tricky for us when we inform the waiter, we have a peanut allergy , waiting for them to flinch or start mounting excuses, but our courteous and kind waiter promptly said, we don 't have any nuts in the building . What every Mother wants to hear. Our food was delicious, quick and generous portions. On picky thing, they could have some more real strawberries on the strawberry waffle. Seemed a bit strawberry jam and waffle to us, but the Eggs Benedict was delicious, their sausage with a hint of spice was really yummy and the service was outstanding. We will defiantly be back."

"This place is at most, a minute walk from my front door, I walk past it daily and skirt the line ups, especially for weekend breakfasts. Finally went for lunch. They spared expense on the décor, that's for sure, not much better than the previous greasy spoon that occupied this spot. It's really a tiny place, no atmosphere but I don't think they were going for atmosphere, and that's OK. Short menu, interesting, but nothing that I just had to have. My companion had the fried chicken dinner, I had the fried chicken sandwich. Both were served with very good fries but the chicken itself, a big disappointment. Also, I wish places would pay more attention to the bun they serve their burgers etc. on. This was really dry and supermarket variety. For the price, totally unacceptable. Pleasant server and the guy at the grill was friendly, too. Only two other diners on a mid week lunchtime. I don't think I'll go back, even though it's so close by and could easily be my go to spot. Prices are quite high for just average greasy spoon food. Can't figure out why the line ups. Not worth lining up for. Not at all."

"They are stocked so well with classic board games as well as lesser-known games. They have a games guru who basically knows every game and will give you a crash course on how to play. Our guru at the time, Joan, was SO LOVELY and sat down with us and made sure we had a great time and learned the game well. Great suggestions as well. Food is good, a little expensive for the quality but I guess that is how they make their money. As long as the table orders something to eat or drink, the admission fee is lowered from $15 to $8. Don’t go anywhere else if you want a board game cafe!!!"

"I came here for the first time today with my friends. they got the all day breakfast and decided that the sausages were mid but the eggs were good. the issue for me is that it is decent food but it’s just diner food and is not worth the price they charged. i got the salmon gavlax salad and it was a half a plate of leaves with a dash of dressing. not worth 15 dollars at all. the food took close to an hour to arrive but we didn’t really notice since we were catching up until i realized there was no food coming out that was ours. crazy amount of time to wait for a salad and breakfast plates. do yourself a favour and go somewhere else for brunch. 2 stars because the food was decent and the staff were nice. maybe they were shortstaffed today but it was frankly disappointing."

"Breakfast is out of this world. Bottomless cups of good coffee. Amazing service. Reasonable prices. Outdoor and indoor seating. Indoor seating is socially distanced. Highly recommend!!"
