"Defina Wood Fired is by far the best authentic pizza I've had in Toronto. It never disappoints in quality, quantity, or service. I've been to Defina numerous times, every single time has been an awesome experience. The customer service is always excellent and very accommodating. So many restaurants make dining last minute difficult, but not Defina! Always reliable. They are also great for larger parties, (8 people+ and their family style menu is very generous and never stingy. The atmosphere and ambiance is amazing. It's a restaurant that feels high-end for a manageable price. I keep returning, bringing friends, and recommending Defina to all I meet! Try it once, be hooked forever."

"Our family ordered chicken shawarma laffa, chicken snitzel laffa 2 cattle kabob laffa. we would have ordered half that. everyone was $15, but had fed two people! we tend to be great eater!"

"It's one of the best vegan restaurants! First time at this location, and it didn't disappoint. Had the mac n cheese, wings, chili onion fries, and birthday cake parfait. Everything was fresh and tasty. Service was fast and staff were friendly."

"Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is about this place. I was there this past Saturday and ordered combo #1. After waiting for a long time, (and watching people who ordered after me get their order first), I was told there was an error with my error. Good think I asked! The chicken tastes good but is very, very greasy. It was served on two pieces of white wonder bread. Is that to help absorb the fat? It's deep fried meat, I know, but my car smelled like grease for the rest of the day. The fries are good but nothing out of the ordinary. The inside decor is cool and all but overall I didn't think it was a unique experience.. Nothing over and above any other deep fried chicken place in the city. I guess this happens with all franchises"

"If i could give this place more than 5 stars i would! My only regret is not buying more!!!! These doubles were the best i have ever had, sweet and savory all in one. The employee at the founter was incredibly helpful. I actually tried going back the next day but they were closed for the day. We tried even the following day, but they were still closed! I tried heading downtown to another place but their doubles were so spicy that I could not even eat it. I was so sad lol. The next time i return to Toronto i will be sure to buy enough to take back to NY!!!! Amazing doubles!!!"

"We booked the Oak Room for a gathering of about 50 people and even though we ended up having a great time, there were many things that were a let down. First, even though our booking was for 7pm and I had advised the owner we would be there as of that time, no one seemed to have any clue about our arrival time - when we got there there were still several boxes on the patio tables and the staff was moping the floors. The room was not in any state to receive people. I had also been told there would be music in the back that we could also control, but they never got the music working back there at all. There were screeching sounds at various points when they were trying to make it work, to no avail. The staff - who I must nevertheless say were very nice - also initially seemed a bit clueless. For instance, I had told both the owner and the staff that we were purchasing several bottles of wine and yet they started charging us by the glass, then later asked me if that was the intention. Of course that would make no sense. Also, despite there being a bar area in the Oak Room, there was no bartender there to serve our guests. The guests were for whatever reason expected to go to the (empty) front part of the bar to order drinks, even though I'd asked for wine and beer to be on offer in the back.I had also not been informed ahead of time that the kitchen would not be open at all other than for us and so they needed us to order any food that we might require over the course of the night at the outset. I had expected the guests to be able to order food themselves as the night wore on. Some guests went hungry.Finally, I think we were also overcharged for the prosecco, based on what I had been told beforehand. And the owner never acknowledged my complaints at all when I later emailed to share our experience with him. Quite disappointing, despite the otherwise nice venue."
