"The menu was digital and any article you clicked on would say what allergens they were free! I have a delicious salmon sushi plate, I'm not sure if her soy sauce is gluten-free, although I mean without eating. They had a number of other dishes next to sushi, but they were gluten-free!"

"Been to this restaurant for lunch after read the review. We ordered two big dishes, they're very salty! We asked for 2 cups of hot water to go with the food, it came as 3 CHF per cup! It was not mentioned anywhere nor pointed out by the waitress on additions charges. We then spoke with the manager before paying to point out that these charges should be clear up front, and we felt unfair with these charges. However, the manager's altitude was poorly and he was telling us that we're in the wrong country because we informed him that these charges should have been made clear at the beginning. After travelling around Switzerland for almost a month, we have never expected such a terrible customer service! Despite the waitress was very friendly and served us well, the management was terrible - not listening to suggestions (we didn't even complaint apart from the manager telling us how he runs the business by making money from drinks and so on.) We're not in the wrong country but definitely in the wrong resultant! There're better places to have food in the square, avoid this one if you don't want to be ripped off."

"Letzten Donnerstag bin ich wieder mal ins Da Carlo und ich war sehr zufrieden. Ein echtes italienisches Restaurant. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Gute Küche, Personal aufmerksam, nett und kompetent. Das Essen ist frisch zubereitet und saisonal. Wer wahre 'Italianità' sucht, ist im 'Da Carlo' genau am richtigen Ort. Der Geschäftsführer ist stets bereit und es entgeht ihm nichts. Super!"

"What could you ideally want on a freezing winter night, in a stately, quiet, medieval city like Bern? The unequivocal answer is: a touch of mediterranean warmth! And that’s exactly what we found at this quaint tapas restaurant, in the heart of the old part...of the old city of old Bern in front of the italianate city hall. The service was excellent provided by a handsome multiculti Persian-American-Swiss waiter. The tapas, just finger-licking good. Thankfully well crafted and not heavily olive-oil-garlic laden (a trick used by pseudo tapas restaurants attempting to reach out to the selective club of more authentic tapas restaurants). The pulpo was perfect. I could’ve eaten just that! By the way, if you don’t have a table, just stand at the bar. It is just as good."
