"We have come up from Cornwall and are staying near Bedford for a few days and working at the Hospital because they are short staffed. We need food before the night shift starts at 7 o’clock and saw King Cod on our first drive into the hospital so decided to give it a try the next evening. I had a donar kebab, and my wife had cod and chips, it was most probably as good as I have eaten anywhere. All of the food was cooked to perfection, it was all hot and tasty, and served in trays and then wrapped, perfect. It was so good I took the time to pop back and thank the staff. Should we be back in the area and in need of takeaway food, they will certainly be top of my list, thanks."

"Lovely lake, interesting menu, lovely building and the kitchen is clearly skilled. But despite being friendly, the service is glacial. In a not very busy restaurant, it took a few minutes to be brought a menu, and then it was just vague. We were sat 50 minutes before we got fed.. even the emergency orange juice, ordered to stop a hypoglycaemic episode, simply didn't arrive until I nagged. Then.. I literally watched our waiter forget that we'd asked for vinegar..and look embarrassed when he remembered. It took 30 seconds to forget anything we asked. Wanted a desert, but frankly, it was such a fail. Menus brought again, then ignored. So, we forgot about desert, and I went to the till to pay, rather than sit and wait a bit more. Clearly aimed at ladies who lunch and want to spend three hours over it. It was my girl's birthday, told them at booking...got plopped on the only table behind a wall. Just sad and disappointing... won't be back. Not recommended unless you are a) not hungry and b) have lots and LOTS of time."

"Busy Italian restaurant when we went in on a Tuesday evening. Prices are fair for the quality of the food. Staff were very friendly and efficient. No kids cutlery or menu but they will happily split a main between two kids for you. Kids loved the gelato for desert. The Tartufo Classico (like a frozen icecream Ferrero Rocher) was lovely. Service not included. Would definitely recommend and return."

"Owner of the establishment was very welcoming and seemed very proud of his food which was reassuring. Let us try various meats which was also appreciated. Food was wonderful, best takeaway I’ve had from bedford. My only complaint is that my chips were missing, my partner received hers but I didn’t get mine so I lost a few pounds, but thankfully the portion size was good and I didn’t miss them too much. Would definitely come again, just a shame about the chips."
