"Food was great and the staff was helpful when you got their attention, but there was not much contact. Personally, the place is so busy that there was not enough bar / waiting personnel for the volume of people. No cuts were given until we were asked for our meal. Gin is just a big trend and has not been served in a beautiful way and no great selection of tonics as it was a cocktail bar!"

"A fantastic meal before we went to the races to donate our hard earned money to those poor bookies! It was pre booked and pre ordered and everything was exactly as we had arranged. The Guinness pie that I had was very good although on...our next trip I will be having the fish and chips that my wife had. Thank you"

"We highly recommend this pub. it is a friendly pub with excellent staff. eating is good and they often have entertainment/singer, on which is ideal for a local pub. the renter emma always tries to make new themed evenings that make fun. the pub is very well presented and clean and we will definitely visit regularly. laura and chris."

"From the outside I had high hopes that the Sloop Inn would be a cosy little boozer, but it is actually much larger than it first appears. Although it is no doubt a popular local pub it fulfils this role in the modern style re decor; and with the plethora of television screens showing constant sport; one armed bandits and background music it is certainly designed with modern youth in mind. It’s a nice enough pub but, as I’ve said, it’s not one that you could call traditional or cosy. On the contrary, size and style wise it comes across very much like an estate pub. Service was pleasant and the bar had all the required lagers, ciders, ales etc. And, again in the modern style, they had a full menu of shorts, shots, cocktails etc at prices that would no doubt keep the younger customers delighted. In a town that boasts several excellent traditional pubs of the old style however, the Sloop wouldn’t be my pub of choice, but if I was in the area I would be happy to pop in again."

"Have a tofu and veg chow mean to take away. it has been found that the dish contained reisnudeln and bohnensprossen, but not much veg. tofu was also not so inspiring! produced requirements around a vegan known and no ice added. many options to take out, although this is good"
