"First time visiting this evening and well worth it. My son wanted to go out for a family meal for his birthday, despite the pub n restaurant being very busy,the atmosphere the staff and food was absolutely fantastic. Fast service,clean environment and well mannered and helpful staff. It was great to be able to choose off the menu as well as having the option of the carvery, reasonable prices and well worth the money.We will definitely be returning. Would recommend book table well in advance to ensure uou get table"

"The London Inn has a TA page for accommodation but not for its restaurant. We go over to the interesting little town of Ottery St Mary occasionally for its excellent DIY store (Abbotts), but we had never tried the London Inn before. Ottery is not blessed with good pubs so we thought we would experiment and try the London, and we were so glad we did. Though it is located right in the centre of town it has its own car park, accessible from Brook Street at the rear. The building is over 300 years old and has clearly led a hard life, but it has been tidied up and given a lick of paint. Leading off the lounge bar is a restaurant area, though the 70`s style patterned carpet will have to be retired to a museum when funds allow! Unusually these days it still has a rather spartan public bar. The Menu is simple straightforward pub food, but it's well cooked and served piping hot in generous portions. We had a ham omelette and ham eggs and chips and they were very good and so reasonably priced. Even the coffee was good and strong. The service was just right and the drinks were reasonably priced, we will certainly be back soon."

"For a mosque and bought many nice things to take home. gin, cookies, honey, a scarf for the dog and a glass of libelle ornament. beautiful friendly lady chatted and served us. lighted a boring rainy day."

"Food produce isn't what you'd expect from a well established place, nothing looks to be locally sourced cheap sausages ham eggs chips etc expected a lot more won't be eating here again"

"Great place, great food! excellent place to eat, very nice menu and delicious choices. had the tasty breakfast and worse quiche with salads. well cooked and prepared. a chef who knows how to eat aromen. thought that was very good and really enjoyed both meals. would not hesitate to go back again and again if in the opposite there is also a child area - see website for details. big ice cream and cake too. that really deserves to be successful."
