"We found this restaurant through our tourist-guide nad we were glad to have been there. We sit in a wonderful garden, it was like a hidden place in Obidos. There was one, very kind and experienced, waiter and the food was great: there were not many dishes on the menu but they were very particular and based on the traditional portoguese food.I must suggest the ginjinha, it was delicious!"

"What a magical place to sit in a castle and have excellent food and service. Whilst a little expensive at $130 euors per meal overall a great experience with good food and wine. Special mention to Sam who looked after us for the three nights. A very professional and friendly waiter."

"We arrived quite late for lunch and the guy was so polite and nice. We ordered salmon and whatever came with it and we were not disappointed. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and there was a brilliant selection of them too. I would have to say a delicious meal and so well priced. Thank you."

"We had carbonara and bolognese pasta and peasant salad. All 3 dishes really tasted bad. The pastas were over cooked and bland. The meat in the peasant salad were very disgusting and very greasy. We waited also a very long time to be served. The waiter was a bit kind and when we told him that the food was not good, he did not charge us for the bread. A meagre compensation but at least a little gesture."

"We should have not when we heard the microwave ding, and given we were the only customers, it was for us. My husband ordered a barely edible pizza, and my cheese omelet appeared to have been made with moldy cheese. I showed the waitress the neon blue-green streaks (it was NOT blue cheese) and she shrugged it off, claiming it was a stain from the purple cabbage. It seemed more like mold or even a chemical or other exposure from improperly prepared food. I refused to eat it and risk my health. While this place was listed in the Rick Steves guidebook, clearly there has either been a mistake or change in ownership. Regardless, do NOT eat here!"

"My wife claims she had the best fish here during our 2.5 weeks trip in Portugal. My meal was not spectacular but was very good as well. She ordered a single dish and I got a menu with bacalhau. Prices were the best considering the several more expensive restaurants around. The place has a beautiful bar inside but the restaurant part is normal. The owner/waiter was friendly, we talked for a while but I ordered a goat cheese and he brought me cow cheese, insisting that was goat cheese... He was not aggressive though, maybe more like a misunderstanding from his side. In fact, order one thing and get something else seems to be standard in Portugal... I'm a portuguese native speaker btw..."
