"A great place to meet. Up with your friends for coffee or up. It is literally a block of BHS and the library. At a corner of a complex building with back door connected to a garage. This place has a modern café look with a touch of French to its menu. It is an eight-person counter and a few loose tables with wood trim and trim where it is most needed. Here they specialize in crepes of sweet and savory along with beer and wine. Coffee is supplied by Roast Co from Oakland and pastries are baked on site (limited pieces available. There is free Wi-Fi and a common unisex room. Bon appetit!"

"This place is very quaint and provides its clientele with high quality options. The pastry I had was delicious. Most importantly, this is a spot where you can truly enjoy yourself. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I will be returning here often."

"Tried their fish and chips, a few of their burgers; (Mushroom Swiss, bacon and blue cheese) the food is great, beers they serve, include both Guinness, and at least one Irish red; the atmosphere is comforting Irish-American, and it is a short ride from the beautiful Berkeley Marina, and several hotels, nearby, and in Emeryville; they even let me play harp there, 2020 Thanks. Starry Plough!"

"Quite possibly the worst service I've experienced at a Bay Area restaurant in years. We had a reservation for 5 people at 6:15 pm on a Saturday night, which we thought was plenty of time to make a play at Berkeley Rep a block away at 8 pm. On greeting us, our server even asked if we had an event that evening, which we said we did. So far so good.Things went downhill from there. The restaurant was highly disorganized and the service was amateurish. Our server was nice enough, but clearly inexperienced (he seemed to be a converted table busser) and was assigned to work way too many tables on an extremely busy night.Drinks ordered from the bar arrived individually and extremely late. It took some 45 minutes for the server to take our order. 20 minutes after that, one entree arrived (scallops, they were delicious). We waited another 30 minutes for the rest of the food nothing. Our server was apologetic but clearly had too much on his plate.Finally, at 7:45 pm we notified the manager that we would be leaving as we had our play at 8 pm. She apologized and comped our drinks and the one meal we had received. We couldn't help but notice that other tables were having problems similar to ours.We have been to Revival before and have experienced similar problems with the service, but nothing this bad. I know that post COVID it's hard to find staff, but it is unconscionable for management to continue to book all of its tables when it doesn't have the staff to service them.We will never come back to Revival. It's a shame, because the food and drinks are good (if a bit overpriced), and it's a wonderful space."
