"This is my go to burger joint and have never been disappointed. Teriyaki Char is awesome. I love the Tempura Green Beans. Very cool option outside the usual fries, which theirs won't let you down even if you choose to stick with the usual."

"I'm always tempted to stop by here whenever I drive by and it's always a treat when I do! The honey lavender ice cream is a perfect balance of lavender flavor and sweetness. $4 is a lot for a small scoop of ice cream, but it's worth it every time."

"Great barbecue smoked brisket! Wasn't expecting to find this place but I could smell it down the street and was pleasantly surprised to find it, and enjoyed the barbecue picnic style meal. The good old style potato salad was a bonus I didn't know I was getting. Too much food for just myself! Thank you!"

"I go to Garden Variety 1-2 times a week. The service is really fast, and the employees/owner are very kind and attentive. They have really great cookies that are well-priced. Probably the best cookies I've ever had. It's the best affordable healthy food I've had in downtown Berkeley. You get a lot for what you pay for and the quality is unmatched. My go-to is the tuna melt sandwich but their fried chicken sandwich and fried rice also are really fantastic. They also have the best potato salad I've ever had in my life. It's simple food but extremely flavorful and well-executed.I'm also a big fan of the vinyls in the store. I would recommend this place to anyone!"

"One of the best teas I’ve got! Wow!!I’ve got “peach fresh fruit tea”, that was made with a real peach! We made it 25% sweet which tastes perfect, without giving a sugar crush. No ice. For toppings aloe and lychee! It can’t be more perfect!"
