"This is an absolute Montreal landmark and a must visit stop when you are in town! Plus it's bring your own wine so it's very affordable as well! I had the French onion soup (ask for it.... It's not on the menu) and the beef tartar which was 10/10 amazing !!!"

"Our party of 12 went to Le Steak Frites (Steak House Village) for a stag night dinner. Great service and a lively atmosphere. Perfect choice for group events. Private group seatings can also be reserved in the lower level. BYOB, is an added plus :) If you want steak/seafood and a more intimate, upscale setting, I'd recommend the Keg on Rue Rene Levesque."

"This Steak-Frites is smaller than its sister stores. The staff was accommodating and quickly opened our BYOB wine and brought Champagne glasses and ice-buckets. Our waiter was very laid-back and allowed us to enjoy our conversation without too many interruptions. The food was just OK. Our tuna was under seasoned and the salsa need some "heat" to balance the flavor of the plate. My friend ordered the lamb leg and it was dry (odd for lamb that is usually moist due to the fat). The free fries were a nice touch and delivered hot from the fryer from our waiter.Great service - average tasting meal."

"I went to Frites Alors with a friend. He had the one of the poutines and I had a burger and fries. My friend seemed to enjoy his poutine but I was not really impressed with the fries or burger. The meat used for the burger seemed to have too many tendons or something in it. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the service was good. I did sit outside so it was nice they had a patio. I did ask them whether they would allow me to bring my dog on the patio and they said they would which is nice as I am always looking for places that will accommodate that. I always ask customers whether they mind as well before sitting down as I don't want to scare people. I don't have a big dog so usually this is not the case and she is quiet while I eat and doesn't disturb other customers. Not sure whether I will go back though as the food was not great."
