"I rarely write reviews for restaurants online but this place deserves the effort to do so. One of the best, if not THE best, sandwiches in the city. I've tried about half of the menu so far and everything has been absolutely great. For the price, you get a good amount of food (2 meals for a weaker man), and I've never had it take longer than 10 minutes for my food to be ready. The best thing about the Milk Bar, however, is the staff. Each one of them know me by name, even though I may not have been there for a few months. I've placed to go orders on the phone, showed up 10 minutes later to realize there is a long line, and they've come out of the kitchen to ring me up and get me on my way while the guy at the counter was still trying to decide what to order. The customer service: excellent. Would highly recommend"

"Stopped in on the Saturday of essence festival and overall my group was satisfied. When we originally got there, it was very crowded and we were told that the wait would be 1 hour and 30 minutes. The hostess added us to the wait list, took our phone number, and told us she would call when the food was ready. We decided to run an errand while we waited and only 40 minutes had passed before she was calling to tell us our table was ready. When we finally sat down, the service"

"Awesome and delicious made from scratch vegan food. They even make their own almond milk. We ordered the smokey tomato sandwich, buddha bagel, orange saffron cake and carrot cake. The tofu on the smokey tomato sandwich was cooked to perfection and the wheat sourdough bread nicely toasted. Everything on the bagel went well together. Both desserts were excellent. Amazed that it's all vegan. Will definitely come back the next time we're in town."
