"Made a booking by phone during the week and was asked if we would like to site inside or outside to which I advised I prefer inside, on arrival we were seated outside when I mentioned that I had requested inside they offered to try a find a table for 3, we chose to stay at outside table. After about five minutes the waitress was back to take our order, as we had not decided we ordered bread and dips which arrived promptly, at this time we ordered our main. Having finished our bread and dips we waited and waited, we could see the kitchen from our table and were concerned that we had not seen any meals leaving the kitchen after 45 minutes we asked the waitress how much longer we would have to wait for our mains, she went and checked returning to advise us only 1 chef and it would be a few more minutes I think it was more like another 10 minutes before our mains arrived. We waited approximately 1 hour for our mains to arrive. I chose Veal Fungi which came with some potatoes and vegetables, whilst the portion was large it was just average, I did not order a dessert only a coffee which was burnt. Service was very poor. If they knew there would be a delay we could have been advised on arrival but not one staff member came and checked on us after our breads were delivered until we called a waitress to query how much longer we would have to wait. Will not return."

"We are up and down for many years and the food is always very good. The current place feels tired and dated, which is a real shame. The restaurant is rarely humming, so often there is a lack of atmosphere. As mentioned, the food is very good, but as a total experience and the “so when we go back” test) its hard to give it more than 3 stars"

"I have been to this restaurant on two occasions now and it is simply fantastic. From the warm and friendly service staff who genuinely love where they work (I noticed someone who worked there come in early for their shift and was greeted with hugs laughter like they were family) to the amazing food. I can't wait to have another night of beautiful food in a place that I automatically felt like I was part of the extended family. This is what Italian dining is all about."
