"I had the lamb tenderloin which was beautiful, with carrots and a delicious sauce. My dinner date had the beef tenderloin which was also delicious apparently. The service was great too, best meal we've had at River Cafe for a long time."

"Wanted to try yesterday for the first time, arrived with a party of 3 around 4:50 4:52 happy hour is until 5pm. We were initially greeted on the patio and told we could grab a seat wherever. Awesome, there were spots left on the patio. Proceeded to sit, with the server checking on all the tables around us, yet not acknowledging our existence. At exactly 5:01, an unesthused server comes over and I ask if we could get a drink on the happy hour special as we had been waiting for about 10mins, and she said that they couldn’t do that as their system shuts it down at 5pm. I get it, but it honestly seems so petty and didn’t sit right with the group that we were ignored until it was conveniently exactly after happy hour was over. We proceed to walk across the street to social beer haus. They were just as busy, if not busier, yet we had our drink order taken in no time. Spent almost $300 between the 3 of us and tipped very well."

"This place is a somewhat charming alternative to food on campus. It's not bad if you want to bring someone somewhere that has an atmosphere a little more upscale than most on campus fare. It almost achieves this end, and to be honest is not all that bad, yet on my own I'd always spend less and get more food somewhere else. I had the breakfast which was adequate, the homemade ketchup was a nice surprise."

"The place seemd a small step up from a fast food eatery.The welcome was poor & it was clear that the staff member was about to go off shift.Our server looked like and thought he was Johnny Depp. He was actually pretty good at looking after us given all his colleagues seemed to have either not turned up or wanted to go! The food was acceptable but expensive for what it was."
