"We went as a party of 6 and we all enjoy ourselves and eat. all staff were friendly and helpful, a good mix of attentiveness and let us to him. the cocktails were nice to begin, charcuterie board tasty, and sharing rib my partner and I had boiled to perfection. my mother doesn't eat steak and she said that the scallops begin, followed by the plaque were great. we couldn't finish it all so that the staff a bit left over steak, from which our 2 dogs also approved very well. I am happy to go back soon"

"Good location for pre-theatre meal. Close to The Everyman Theatre. Eaten here before and the food has always been good. This time all 3 of us chose the chicken, ham and leek pie with greens and buttered mash with a white wine and tarragon sauce. They outdid themselves this time. Beautiful pie with good pastry and generous filling. Went brilliantly with the cabbage and mash and the sauce was delicious. Would definitely have it again."

"It was absolutely lovely food and the waiting staff were above and beyond helpful in catering for our every needs but more especially for my son who has a complete nut allergy.....the chef had even offered to make a couple of different choices of sweets as some of the others had nuts in them. I have never been to a restaurant before that has been so accommodating. Well done to the whole team who ensured we had a memorable day"
