"Ordered a beef pho and pork spring rolls, spring rolls were OK though more the texture of dumplings inside ... the soup however was really bland.. the broth was bland. The beef was chewy, the noodles were stuck to container and a bit soft and there was an off taste to the veges and there wasn't much veges.. having been to Vietnam I've tasted much nicer pho than this... even in NZ. Also you'd think thered be a mix of different beefs like meatballs, beef etc.. not good for $20.50. Still felt hungry after."

"Often have lunch here have been coming for several years. The food is great, plentiful and full of flavour. Service prompt and friendly. Would especially recommend the ribs with green onion and fresh spring rolls."

"The menu is well marked to show what dishes can be made vegan, which is awesome. There are no vegan entrees though and the drinks list isn’t marked to show what’s vegan. It was very quiet when we visited, we weren’t sure it was even open until we pulled right up as the entrance isn’t particularly lit up. We tried the pineapple fried rice (yum) and the panang curry (not bad, but I’ve definitely had this dish elsewhere with more flavour), both with tofu. Not the cheapest Thai, but I would visit again to try something else on the menu."

"I went here a couple of weeks ago and they had amazing food! I ordered the pho, crispy chicken and deep fried pork spring rolls, it was honestly all so good! However, their spring rolls were deffs a fav of mine! Would argue they have the best spring rolls in all of christchurch!!!"

"We had a really lovely time here. We had opted for the Mr. Gig's Banquet for 2. The entrees were absolutely divine and the Beef cheeks were one of the best we have ever had. The chicken salad was a bit normal (hence the 4 star) so we asked for the somtum salad. Service was excellent and the ambience was nice"

"Absolutely amazing food. I tried many asian restaurants/take aways and this one was very generous portion. Fresh and tasty food wih a balanced level of spices. Highly recommended and will definitely go back."

"Friendly staff and tasteful food. Beef is better than chicken. Banmi is pretty good. Visited today. Just takeaway for the Banmi and fresh spring rolls. Both of them chicken. I should check my review before I order. : I remember the spring roll was pretty good ,but this time a lot of cabbages. Hard to chew. Maybe because it is winter time. Experience vege. However the price was still affordable even located in the middle of the city. Noodle soup will be perfect for winter time."

"Delicious Vientanmese vermicilli in town. I had a pork salad noodle from urbanMi. Staff was super nice and friendly apologetic for not even a long wait. Prices are super affordable compare to other inner city lunch options, portion is huge for the salad noodle. Highly recommend."

"We tried Zaffron a few years ago and were very disappointed. We reviewed the latest reviews for Happy Cow after searching for local Vietnamese food and decided to try Zaffron again. There are now vegan items listed on the menu instead of anoying telling us about all nutritional requirements. Good selection of dishes, really good taste and presentation. Excellent service by employees who understand what Vegan means for their menu. Will definately go again"
