"Any given day, I would rate this place above the Guru Kottureshwara hotel and Old Sagar hotel. I like the other two places as well. They use white butter and the dosaes taste a little better than the other two famous places for the crepes in the town. They have been here for decades and if I am not wrong, they belong to the very clan that pioneered the benne dosae culture, though there are 2-3 strong contenders from the same claim. These guys serve red and white chutney on alternate days. I believe that the 20rs extra you shell out for their dosaes is worth it for the white butter and better chutney. The place is too small and at times, you might have to wait to get a seat or eat standing. But who complains? The taste and the quality of the food they serve makes up for the lack of ambience."

"One of the best dosa, searched this place from Google reviews and got there. Place gets crowded at times. Must try if u visit Davangere. There is very limited space sitting . Better to eat the dosa standing and looking at how he makes them . and for sure , the way it's made , will make u order one more."

"The most scrumptious benne dosa I 've ever tasted. This particular shop as a reputation for benne dosa. You should definitely stop by to eat the benne dosa here. It 's always crowded, but worth the wait, trust me. On our way back to Bangalore from Goa, we stopped by at Sri Guru hotel for the benne dosa because of its reputation for 'Davangere Benne Dosa '. Loved it. You should definitely try it."

"This restaurant was recommended to me, so I had great expectations and was extremely disappointed. The food itself was not that bad, but nothing extraordinary. What really was unacceptable was the bad attitued of our waiter. True, we came for late lunch at 2:30pm, were told to sit down anywhere, There were only few seats occupied, we ordered veg food but to my surprise the food was kept at our desk after 25 mins and that too the waiter was like "help yourself, i am too busy to serve you".Visit this place if you want to experience a terrible service. Needless to say, I shall never return to this place...."

"Worst experience, this hotel is spoiling the name of Andhra food veg pulav is misunderstood with Biriyani, I am sure this hotel owner would have never had Andhra style Biriyani, in Davanagere this is the only Andhra style hotel available bad luck. Any Hyderabad Biriyani lovers don't get cheated by this hotel named The ugly kitchen ever found ."
