"We found this small and somewhat hidden establishment while walking down from the big market square in Evora, along Rua dos Mercadores, on the left side. This is a very simple place, more like a snack bar, but nevertheless we had great pataniscas de bacalhau. The owner had to do some extra work because of some misunderstandings due to linguistic problems, but he was very kind and did not charge a penny more. Your children will love the hearty servings of bifana no plato with french fries. Ridiculously cheap."

"Found this one based on other trip advisor posts. Thanks trip advisor. Was in Evora for 3 days we had to make two trip to this one. The chicken pastries were amazing. The owner was friendly and very fluent in English and French as well as Portuguese, obviously. He also had a small but very well selected section of meats and cheese. A must visit if you are ever in Evora, Portugal."
