"Their chips are the best.<br/ <br/ They seem like that they have the certain way to fry it well.<br/ <br/ The saltiness and crispiness are perfect.<br/ <br/ I had their whitebait toast, too. The toast range is also recommended. Simple, but it's just right of butter inside.<br/ <br/ Though I didn't have fish, I can tell that must be good."

"I read that it's got the best fish. For $60 it was the worst I've had. 4 pieces of fish, 3 hotdogs in batter, chips and 2 pineapple fritters. The fish had no taste. The batter on the hotdog tasted like paper would. The chips were meant to have chicken salt. They were bland and oily. We were starving and still couldn't stomach the food. We ended up making another meal. They seemed like nice people and didn't look too busy. I did feel uncomfortable as we pulled out as they were all staring at us with the next customer. I would go to the next fish and chip shop! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Pork belly for lunch was lovely. Probably needs the fat to be more crispy than chewy. Reasonable price. Good value for money. Nice to see Filipino breakfast/meals i wish i had seen the menu beforehand but i did enjoy what i have ordered. Filipino staff were friendly and hard working. A must place to have coffee and/or meals in Hokitika."
