"We had an exceptional time. Service was excellent. The food is appealing to the eye and filling to the stomach. It is well seasoned. Perfect date night place. The environment is intimate and good setting to set the mood for a romantic night out. Well deserved 5 star. Looking forward to visit soon."

"If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend this Ocean Basket over the one in N1 City. My usual platter for 1 didn't disappoint, nor did the service. It's no wonder this place is always full and Cape Town Fish Market is always empty."

"I was drawn to this place after spotting the lovely cakes/pastries and ice-creams on offer. We decided to treat ourselves to (gelato) ice-creams after lunch. I opted for the chocolate brownie flavor in a sugar cone. Now I'm not a sweet tooth at all, but this super sweet chocolate ice-cream with its huge chunks of brownie was too heavenly to resist! The rest of the family opted for mint chocolate, strawberry sorbet and stracciatella and were happy with their choices too. Staff are so friendly here and quick to help. Also so convenient having this place situated in the Centre of Canal Walk. You literally just walk past, pay and then be on your merry way to continue with shopping."

"There's a lot of takeout here. you can share the dish together, it’s very profitable) I ordered chicken sweet corn soup, a light and dietary soup, interesting taste) and a chicken dish with cashew nuts... for 3+ very tasty rice"

"The place itself is a little too quiet for my liking but perhaps it was because we went there close to their closing time.<br/ <br/ We had the Peruvian Lamb Ribs; Classic Caesar Salad and the Pan Seared Tuna. I myself had the salad and despite the presentation being great, I wasn't too happy with the salad itself. However, the other two meals were delicious(mainly the Peruvian Lamb Ribs).<br/ <br/"

"For an avid orawn lover like me this place was a heaven. After being tried of walkin n shopping at the mall in 2012 i decided to have seafood at jimmy's. The prawns were of nice size...juicy...well cooked. The service was also quick n with a smile."

"Stodel’s was on the shopping list of Paternoster friends with whom we were meeting up and the obvious choice – and the right one, as it turned out.<br/ <br/ Toasted saamies, a chicken salad (loads of meat), a ‘burger and for me a Vooma (V) were the selection and Cristina made sure the cappuccinos were piping hot (so many outlets can’t get this spot-on).<br/ <br/ My “two slices of 100% rye bread, greens, cocktail tomatoes, Halloumi, basil pesto and two poached eggs” came exactly as described. Owner Ryan (see pic of him holding up a quirky squeeze bottle of peri-peri sauce) came round to enquire “Was everything OK?” and when I mentioned my eggs weren’t soft as ordered he promptly wanted to remove my place and replace, but I assured him my comment wasn’t criticism per se and thanked him for his quick intervention. So often one gets a wishy-washy, disinterested reaction.<br/ <br/ Talking of wishy-washy: a bonus to a good outing was a sudden, albeit short, downpour.<br/ <br/ With free WiFi I was able to catch up on social gossip in between appointments.<br/ <br/ Definitely an excellent halfway meeting up point with friends."

"We had a great dinner at Thai World. Their meals are slightly more pricey but their portions sizes are decent. We loved their Nam Sod dish, the fresh ginger added a lovely kick to the dish. Their curries are served in cute little pots. And their fish dish was delicious, I can't remember what is was but it was a sort of spicy version of the usual sweet and sour dishes. Lovely authentic Thai decor inside."

"Great sushi with quality wasabi. The Dim Sum is also very tasty but a bit overpriced. The atmosphere is relaxing and they serve good tea. Definitely worth a revisit."
