"The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was great! I ordered a medium sirloin. I suggest that if you order rare/medium steak, tell them not to put it on the hot stone plate because it will keep cooking while the kitchen prepares the rest of your table’s food. So in the end, my medium steak became well done."

"My first time eating at this Spur and I have to say the food was amazing. My first time trying out their grilled peri chicken combo for R149 and I was awesome. Food was served lovely a day hot, excellent service from the manager Jane and waiter Nhlanhla. Shared the waffle, and it was crispy the way I like it. Perfect place to be in during loadshedding"

"A friendly handshake from the manager as you enter gives you that sense of we at the right place. Small and well decorated restaurant. Sitting inside you cant help but admire their small wine cellar which gives you that feeling you not just dining at your local eatery around the corner. The menu caters for all tastes and has something for everyone. All their meat cuts are provided by their butchery next door and are absolutely top class. They have been running great specials and that has definitely made us pull in a few extra times than normal. Tuesdays is Pizza for R59. That has become my favourite day of the week. The pizza selection is not limited at all and is the best tasting around. Thursdays is a MEAT platter for 2 for R159. The platter consists of fillet, sirloin, lamb chops, pork chops, chicken kebabs and chips. A must try for the meat lovers. The rest of the menu is well priced and portion sizes are filling. Service is good and you are looked after really well. Other waiters jump in to assist you if your waiter is busy at another table, most restaurants you don't get that anymore as it's not their section. It's great to see the teamwork. So all round a great experience, great food and great service. Worth a visit any day of the week."

"My partner and I went for our dinner date here . It was my first time here and we both thought it best to make a reservation in case it turned out to be full . Upon arrival the place was quite empty but rather safe than sorry . <br <br From the moment we got there the manager welcomed us and was very friendly . Our waiter ,Wellington was really great and provided an excellent service. The place was dimly lit and had a romantic mood . I wasn’t too fond of the bathrooms they weren’t too clean and had cleaning material lying around . And they were outside bathrooms . <br <br To eat I ordered the Alpine Turf combo with cinnamon butternut as a side dish And we had a bottle of wine . I was very pleased with my food ,the fillet was cooked as requested . The only thing that was a let down was the butternut it was too big and didn’t have much flavor . My partner ordered the chicken and prawns ,which they found the chicken to be too salty . And the manager was so kind and offered us complimentary shooters coffee dessert . We opted for the shooters ,bottoms up lol ! <br <br I also noted the place has affordable weekday specials so I’m definitely coming here again . <br <br This is a great and affordable spot. Would definitely recommend it ."
