"We love this pub. the owners, the cook and the staff are fantastic. if we want a good burger or a classic pub fare, this is also our go. the burger, even the falafel burger are excellent! the netzen are also top notch. that's a shady in melton mowbray."

"Get what you pay for food wise. Microwave food tastes half decent. Nice and cheap. Female manager is rude and treats you asking for the disabled/baby changing room key as an inconvenience then command's her staff to do it rather than asks nicely. Says a lot about a person when they speak down to their staff. Hence the 4 stars"

"We moved back to the area in April of 2021 after relocating from Cottesmore. We left friends at our old local behind and missed them terribly. Then we found Paul and Lisa at The Anchor and instantly hit it off. Although we haven't lived in the area before we have family that have and to say they have accepted us is an understatement. We love going for pint most evenings and we regularly have their amazing steaks on a Thursday. Thanks for welcoming us and its so nice to have a landlord and landlady that cares for their customers. Keep up the great work both."

"A decent place to have a food and/or drink. A great place if you want to watch a football match. There are screens right next to some seats, and a pool upstairs with some extra seats."

"Visited The cherry tree whilst in the area as they are dog friendly. Pleasantly surprised, very welcoming staff, (Hannah served me) very friendly and welcoming! great selection of different dishes (I have an eating disorder due to radiotherapy) at very good prices. Highly recommended"
